Vintage Schultz & Dooley Original Beer Steins WEBCO Pair of Etsy
The original Schultz and Dooley (Figure 1) are easy to recognize by the markings "59-CSM" in blue lettering on Schultz and "59-CDM", initially in green and then in teal lettering on Dooley, printed below the handles. In August of 1959 an order was placed for 1,000 sets of the pair from German manufacturer KING-Werk, marked as shown in Figure 2a.

Between 1960 and 1964, to capitalize on the popularity of television commercials, KING-WERK produced another 10,000 Schultz and Dooley sets for WEBCO, identified by marks impressed into the bottom of the steins.
